The developer signs off their application to build a 16-storey complex of 476 apartments at 26-56 Queens Parade. If approved, it will dominate the Fitzroy North skyline, and block Edinburgh Gardens’ heritage views to the city.

August 29

Despite the whole-of-suburb impact of the proposal, City of Yarra alerts only nearby residents. They are given just 23 days to review the highly technical, 432-page proposal.

September 13

The Protect Fitzroy North’s Skyline group forms to stop this aggressive over-development.

October 5

The developer lodges a Failure to Determine (FTD) at VCAT
